Grab a seat and get ready to feel great with 15 minutes of asanas (postures) to relieve stress and restore balance on your commute. You don’t have to break a sweat to reap the benefits of yoga! The regular practice of asanas has an immense amount of therapeutic value, positively affecting our minds and creative intelligence.
The poses will be followed by 15 minutes of Chakra Meditation for Relaxation. The word chakra translates to “turning wheel,” and we have seven throughout our body. During this guided meditation, we'll visit these energy centers and explore what it means to align them. No previous knowledge of yoga/chakras is required. We invite you to join us in this quiet space, settle in, and spend a few minutes focused on doing something great for YOU!
This workshop is led by Em Hall, CYT-200, who has been taking yoga for over 25 years and teaching it for nearly three. She is a certified group fitness instructor who also teaches indoor cycling at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she is earning a Ph.D. in Urban Planning and Policy. When not writing her dissertation, Em watches Law & Order while teaching her old cats new tricks.
