As a principal and practice leader at Bolton & Menk in Minnesota, Haila brings more than 25 years of experience working toward positive community change. Her background includes local and regional planning projects, including land use plans, transportation plans, corridor studies, and comprehensive planning. She also focuses on creative and inclusive engagement strategies in diverse communities. She enjoys most working at the intersection of disciplines, seeking to find equitable solutions in urban areas.
Prior to joining Bolton & Menk in 2016, Haila worked in the public sector for regional councils of government in South Carolina and Indiana and for the City of Minneapolis in long range planning, including lead roles the past two comprehensive plans. Haila’s education includes a BA from Duke University in Public Policy Studies and a Master’s in planning from the University of Minnesota.
