Before transitioning to the private sector, Ryan honed his skills as a planner for the cities of Decatur, GA and Newton, KS. During his tenure in the public sector, he played a pivotal role in shaping land use policies, fostering economic vitality, and enhancing quality of life for residents.
Active in the American Planning Association (APA), Ryan serves as Vice-Chair of the Planning and the Black Community Division (PBCD) and lends his expertise to the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Commitee, working towards creating more diverse and inclusive spaces within the profession.
