Sara Copeland, FAICP manages the planning group in the Burns & McDonnell transportation practice. Sara has extensive experience in the development of comprehensive plans, corridor plans, and redevelopment plans, with a focus on plan implementation. She understands how to turn strategic vision and stakeholder feedback into planning documents that will guide implementation actions. Sara is an adjunct instructor for the Urban Planning & Design Department at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Sara earned Bachelor of Science in Planning and Master in City Planning degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a Board Director for the American Planning Association.
