Brian Wiedenfeld is an Assistant Planner with MSA Professional Services in the Milwaukee, WI office. In May 2023, he graduated with his Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from UW-Madison where he specialized in community engagement, economic development, and transportation planning. Brian assists in comprehensive plan development, data analysis, community engagement strategies, redevelopment studies, housing studies, and bike and pedestrian planning. At the 2023 American Planning Association Wisconsin Chapter conference, he presented on a project he lead engaging youth in planning on a mall redevelopment plan in Madison, WI, for which he received the WI APA Student Project of the Year. He was also the recipient of the APA Outstanding Student Award in 2023. Aside from his work at MSA, Brian has experience with state-level governmental planning (Wisconsin DOT and Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation) and on-the-ground community work through various research projects he’s assisted with.
