Katie Reed, AICP is a Principal Planner for the Department of City Planning at the City of Pittsburgh, focusing on Comissions and Code Development. Before joining City Planning, Katie spent four years as the Principal Development Review Planner for Pittsburgh's Department of Mobility and Infrastructure. Prior to Pittsburgh, Katie worked for the City of Boston as a Preservation Planner. She spent the early years of her career serving as Executive Director of Boston Main Streets organizations in several neighborhoods. Katie's work is grounded in her passion for post-industrial cities and building equitable futures on the foundations of the past. She holds a BS in Technical Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and an MA in Historic Preservation from Boston University.
