Andrew's career in the public, private, and non-profit sectors of the planning profession has taken him across the state of Montana. As a consultant for public sector clients, Andrew authored long-range plans, downtown master plans, and developed regulations for rural and urban communities. During his tenure at the National Parks Conservation Association, Andrew played a pivotal role in creating, organizing, and initiating the Whitefish Range Partnership. Andrew is currenlty the Supervisor of the Long Range Planning and Implementation Section for Missoula County Planning, Development, and Sustainability and is dedicated to aligning the county's plans, priorities, and implementation tools with the community's values.
Passionate about elevating the role of planning and empowering planners in Montana, Andrew currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Montana Association of Planners (MAP), where he is the Immediate Past President and is the currently co-chair of the Legislative Committee. Over the past three legislative sessions, Andrew has been extensively involved in representing MAP on land use legislation. During the most recent session, Andrew represented MAP on the Working Group responsible for drafting the Montana Land Use Planning Act and is one of the primary authors of the bill.
