Eduardo Munoz is an advocate for social and racial justice, people-focus and has a profound interest in community-building efforts that link people while advancing social change and equity for everyone. In his role as a Coordinating Planner in Health Equity in All Policies office for the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH), he works to support housing, neighborhood planning and development, institutional change, environmental and food access to advance health and racial equity. Prior to joining CDPH, Eduardo worked in transportation planning as GIS and Route Specialist, where he developed route studies, forecast resources, and made recommendations to improve operations, policy and safety. Mr. Munoz completed his master degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) where he also received his B.A. in Urban and Public Affairs.
Eduardo enjoys horticulture, hiking deep woods and mountains. He volunteers at PASO, a nonprofit organization in the west Cook suburbs that works to engage community members to address issues that affect them with a vision to build stronger communities regardless of their socioeconomic or immigration status. He periodically takes pictures of neighborhoods; city skylines and landscapes. His new hobby is attempting to self-teach to play the piano.
