Rick Reinhard is principal of Niagara Consulting Group, focusing on house-of-worship reuse and redevelopment and broader economic-development initiatives. For more than three decades, Rick led business improvement districts and city redevelopment agencies in Richmond, Buffalo, Atlanta, Washington DC, and Northern Ireland. He served as chief of staff to the mayor of Buffalo and COO of a Toronto-based real-estate development company. He was the first managing director of the Urban Land Institute’s public infrastructure initiative.
More recently Rick joined leadership of the United Methodist Church, first at its social-justice agency in Washington DC, then for the bishop of the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference.
He has taught city planning and urban policy at six major research universities. Rick has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the College of Wiliam and Mary and a Master of Business and Public Management from Rice University. He was a Loeb Fellow in Advanced Environmental Studies at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
