Suzanne Schulz, FAICP is the Urban Design and Planning Practice Leader with Progressive Companies. The practice focuses on supporting innovative planning work in communities and with organizations, including the Michigan Chapter of APA in the creation of a Zoning Reform Guidebook for Housing Supply (June 2022). Suzanne is the former Planning Director and Managing Director of Design and Development for the City of Grand Rapids (MI). Suzanne served as Chair of Michigan's Complete Streets Advisory Council and was a member of Michigan's Medical Marijuana Advisory Panel, Fair Housing Center of West Michigan Board of Directors, and Michigan Economic Development Corporation's Redevelopment Ready Communities Advisory Council. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Broadway Grand Rapids, serves on Michigan's State Transportation Commission, is a member of APA's Legislative and Policy Committee, and represents Region IV on the AICP Commission.
