Danielle Lake, AIA is an architect, urban designer, and planner at LRK. With more than a decade of experience ranging from multifamily, institutional, and civic architecture projects to community redevelopment, mixed-income housing, and municipal planning efforts. A life-long commitment to service has been foundational to Danielle’s core as a designer; her continued personal and professional interests lie at the intersection of social impact and public space, where the built environment supports belonging, equity, and justice. Over the last four years, she has focused on neighborhood revitalization and meaningful community engagement by leading several HUD Choice Neighborhoods Initiatives as Planning Coordinator while at LRK.
Danielle holds a Masters Degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Urban Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from NC State University. She serves as a Lecturer in the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design's Masters of City and Regional Planning Program teaching Planning and Urban Design Studios focused on pragmatic and actionable design solutions around equitable development, resilient community infrastructure, and affordable housing in the US and abroad.
