Andrew Hestness

Andy Hestness is the Executive Director of Redesign, Inc. a 55-year old neighborhood-based community development corporation serving 5 neighborhoods in Minneapolis, MN. Previously Andy worked at the City of Saint Paul in the Planning & Economic Development Department; at the Native American Community Development Institute in Minneapolis; and the Holsten Real Estate Development Corporation in Chicago, IL. Andy has worked in many facets of community development including neighborhood planning & engagement; cultural placekeeping; affordable housing & commercial development; property management; construction management; and small business lending & technical assistance. Andy holds a MA in Real Estate from the University of Illinois at Chicago; and a BA in Architecture from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
