Shannon started her career in arts management, helping to found a performing arts school in California and acting as Managing Director for a professional theater company in the Twin Cities. She returned to school to get her MBA and shift sectors in 2020. She is currently the Director of Downtown Partnerships at the mpls downtown council (mdc). In this role, she serves as the Executive Director for both NūLoop Partners and East Town Business Partnership, serving businesses and communities on both ends of downtown Minneapolis, as well as running the Vibrant Storefronts initiative and the Chameleon project. Chameleon is an initiative of mdc, with the purpose of matching BIPOC and women retail entrepreneurs with storefront spaces in the downtown core.
