Jaemi Jackson is a cross-disciplined urban planner who utilizes her leadership, outreach, design, and research skills to provide comprehensive solutions to the many challenges facing urban environments of today. As a Principal Planner and Regional ADA Coordinator at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), Jaemi is working to make the region more accessible through a multifaceted program aimed at improving municipal transportation infrastructure. Her background includes working as a planner at the municipal level and as a consultant. Her portfolio of work consists of zoning code development, creation of active transportation plans, historic preservation, and authoring nearly two dozen comprehensive plans throughout the country. She has published award-winning research on urban agriculture in Los Angeles and recently stepped down from her role as the APA-IL Pro Bono Services Program Chair, a program she re-started after being dormant for over a decade. Ms. Jackson received her master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA.
