Ryan Yetzer serves as Deputy Community Development Director for the City of Rochester, Minnesota. Prior to this role, Ryan served as a Principle Planner for the City of Rochester. Ryan has also served as a Planner for Olmsted County, Minnesota, an Economic Development Specialist for Community and Economic Development Associates (CEDA), and a Grant Specialist for the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).
Throughout his career, Ryan has worked on a wide range of public policy, urban planning, process improvement, and economic development projects. During his time at the City of Rochester, Ryan led a project to draft and implement the City’s first transit-oriented development and infill/redevelopment missing middle housing zoning districts. In his current role, Ryan oversees the development and construction services divisions of Community Development, including building plan review, planning and zoning, and building inspection services. Most recently, Ryan led a project to re-write Rochester’s zoning ordinance to better implement the goals established in the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
