Valerie (Val) Quarles, AICP Candidate, has been the Assistant Planner for the City of Wayzata since 2021. She holds a B.S. in Urban Studies from the University of Minnesota, is a member of the MN Urban Land Institute's Young Leaders' Executive Committee, and serves as the Co-Chair for the MN UrbanPlan program. She has previously served as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Little Canada, along with working at the Metropolitan Council, Musicant Group, and the City of Golden Valley. In her free time, she enjoys running, biking, and swimming all over the Twin Cities.
