Meagan Mullen Booth is a Principal Planner for the Salt Lake City Planning Division. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Utah, where she developed an interest in community engagement, historic preservation, and urban ecology. Currently, she serves as the Vice President of the Utah Chapter of the American Planning Association and the Director of Chapter Engagement for the Women and Planning Division. Meagan has also been an APA Ambassador, dedicating her time, experience, and talents to promote the planning profession and advancing public understanding of planning.
Meagan is passionate about youth engagement and launched Little City Walks in 2016, a program that helps children explore their local communities, learn about planning, and develop leadership skills. She has received support from many local organizations, including Jane Jacobs Walks, Center for the Living City, City of Holladay, Hurricane City, Farmington City, Moab City, Salt Lake County Health, UDOT, The Utah Foster Care Foundation, The University of Utah, and the United Way of Salt Lake.
Outside of work, Meagan enjoys calligraphy, painting, high fitness, and mountain recreation with her husband, adorable daughter, lucky cat, and golden retriever.
