Nichole Kain is a current doctoral candidate in environmental studies and sustainable community planning at Antioch University New England. Her professional background in occupational therapy, environmental gerontology, and home modifications for healthy aging guides her interest in regional and residential climate adaptation strategies for medically vulnerable populations. Specifically, she is passionate about age-friendly housing design for areas experiencing wildfires and extreme heat. She lives in Saint Paul, MN with her family.
