Helen is a transportation planning analyst at Kimley-Horn in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Over the past 3.5 years, she has worked on projects ranging from safety and mobility planning, community planning, economic analysis, and curbside management. She is deeply interested in understanding and amplifying community voices in planning processes, especially when working in smaller communities. Helen grew up in Seattle before attending Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and studying economics. Her path led her next to Charlotte, North Carolina, where joined Kimley-Horn's national mobility practice and contributed to projects such as the Seattle Transportation Plan and the Charlotte Strategic Mobility Plan. She returned back to Minnesota in 2022, where she now focuses on safety and mobility projects, including several Safe Streets for All action plans. The Bayfield Parking Plan was her first foray into parking and curbside management, but she has since contributed to several other parking and curbside projects in the region. In her free time, she enjoys distance running, gardening, and cross-country skiing. In the summer you can find her biking on the Midtown Greenway toward one of Minneapolis's lakes for a dip in the water.
