Nina embarked on her role as CEO at the Center for Neighborhood Technology in September 202
Her prior role as Chicago Recovery Plan Director at the Chicago Department of Planning and Development honed her skills in equitable policy implementation, where she was pivotal in distributing grants fairly across diverse program initiatives aimed at rejuvenating Chicago's economy. With a team of 19 and numerous agency contracts under her supervision, Nina was instrumental in founding a data management team, setting new benchmarks for evaluating the impact of economic policies on equality.
Nina’s career also includes leadership at MUSE Community + Design as the Director of Planning and experience in urban planning for the City of Los Angeles. Her expertise lies in fostering equitable community development, executing inclusive outreach, and spearheading innovative strategies within planning organizations.
2023 marked her election as the first Black President of the Illinois Chapter of the American Planning Association, a role which has since transitioned to serving as a national board member at large. Additionally, she is an active board member of the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning.
Nina is an alumna of the University of Michigan and the University of Southern California
