Kristofer Johnson, AICP, PLA, is the Comprehensive Planning Manager for the City of Boulder and leads the city’s long range land use planning, historic preservation, and urban wildlife programs. He is a professional landscape architect and certified planner with 20 years of experience in planning, entitlements, form-based code, and design. His previous work, both as a private-sector consultant and municipal urban designer, has offered him the opportunity to broker consensus through collaborative solutions at a range of scales. In his current role, Kristofer oversees the team responsible for the on-going development and implementation of Boulder’s land use and growth policies through the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan. He has a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois and a graduate certificate in Real Estate Investment from the Harvard Extension School.
