Sandra Whitehead is an Assistant Professor of Sustainable Urban Planning at George Washington University. Dr. Whitehead is the current president of the Society of Practitioners of Health Impact Assessment and the co-chair of the USEPA National Environmental Justice Advisory Council's cumulative impact work group. She is a recognized expert of HIA and Health in All Policies and is the author of a recent paper which discusses the use of mixed methods for cumulative impact assessment which has been accepted by the Journal of Environmental Justice. She has provided training and consulting services to numerous communities and led several non-profit organizations.
