Alison Espindola, the Community Development Director at the Idaho Commission on the Arts, is passionate about creating sustainable, thriving, and vibrant local economies by supporting local arts and cultural businesses. She managed the creative district pilot project in Valley County and continues to be actively involved in state-wide and national initiatives to ensure that arts and cultural organizations can operate and grow consciously in our rapidly changing places.
Before joining the Idaho Commission on the Arts, Alison worked at the Idaho State Historical Society. She was also the Program Coordinator at a private arts college in Austin, Texas, where she played a vital role in developing Austin Community College’s Fashion Incubator, providing students with job skills in a rapidly growing industry in the state.
Alison has a Master of Art in Design and Media Management from Miami International University of Art and Design. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Design and Technology from Florida State University.
