Karen Handsfield is a community planner with GSA's Urban Development/Good Neighbor Program, specializing in policy development. She also project manager on technical assistance projects throughout the country that focus on communities where GSA plans to invest in new or modernized federal facilities and where GSA identifies an opportunity to create better outcomes through greater collaboration for both the federal project and for community development goals. Karen is a certified urban planner (AICP) and a LEED accredited professional. She holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelors of Arts in Studio Arts from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA.
