Dan is a Registered Professional Planner and is currently President of the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), representing over 8,000 members across the country. He has over 25 years experience in both the public and private sector. Dan is passionate about community development, and in recent years has focused on sustainable infrastructure servicing, local governance and finance, and First Nations economic development and self-determination. He believes strongly in the integration of land use, infrastructure and finance, and he has worked across Canada with communities small and large, urban and rural, northern and southern.
